                         SKIT (Support for Kids in Transition)

                             

Although SKIT is not therapy, the lesson plans in this manual offer a support-oriented environment for all children ages 4-12 years.  The 50+ activities are especially applicable for children who are homeless, face a divorce, deal with substance abuse in the home, or other situations which create instability.  All activities are non-competitive, encourage cooperation, appropriate decision-making, and a good self esteem.

                          “THAT IS NOT IN MY JOB DESCRIPTION”

                      

This curriculum provides staff and volunteers (who work with clients/students in the area of job search, development, and skill building) clear and concise attitude-based activities which help participants get jobs and keep them.  Topics include:  how to develop a strong work ethic, positive attitude, manage conflict, break down barriers, and present yourself verbally & in writing.
